Over the weekend, while hanging with a few of my favorite people, I was faced with yet another horrible customer service situation. Lately I have been bombarded with terrible customer service, where has all the good service gone!?

Vendors

Recently, I ordered some additional tables & chairs for a community room in one of the buildings I manage here in Milwaukee. The bill was approximately $1400 with $89 for delivery, no big deal. Previously we purchased two set’s at that same price. The office received a call to schedule delivery, so my assistant scheduled it for a time I am usually scheduled to be there. Turns out I had an emergency at another building that took preference over waiting around for a delivery, so I called BiltRite Furniture to re-schedule. The woman on the other line couldn’t have been more rude or unhelpful and made me feel terrible for even trying to be considerate and re-schedule, I could of just not been there when they arrived- but I’m not rude. I respect people’s time. I ended up meeting the delivery truck around 8pm that night because she insisted it couldn’t be delivered at any other time.

Total we have given this company just under $5000 and they have the audacity to be rude to me. Psshh, we’ll see if I EVER bring them any of my service again.

Flower Nazi

Alright, so back to my exciting night out with my favorites. We went to this really great piano bar/lounge where the drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was just what I like, except one thing was missing…..

Lining the bar were these beautiful flowers in a simple glass vase and I wanted to get one for our table. We politely asked our waitress for another round of drinks and to get a flower for our table- her response was actually shocking! She informed us that we would have to talk to the gentleman behind the bar because he is in charge of the flowers and is pretty particular on their placement. Wow, really?? So, paying customers who buy, say 3 rounds of drinks a piece, can’t get a flower on their table? Amazing. How simple it would of been to turn me into the happiest customer of the night, instead I am blogging about my subpar experience at Centanni.

Happy New Year!!!

Ahhh, I am so sorry for my lack of updates…..for anyone close to me you know my life has been full of amazing and exciting events ((as always)) and I just completely dropped the ball on updating the rest of you, my e-buddies

I love new years because it reminds us all to take a look at our lives and re-assess. We get to sit down and evaluate our life goals, what it will take to get where we want to go and let’s us discover who we need to become in order to reach the success we want in or lives. I try and do this many time during the year, but let’s face it- sometimes we all get into a comfort rut.

What are my New Years Resolutions?

First, I always start with ridding toxic relationships from my life. No one needs manipulators or users in their lives because these people are fuel for unnecessary drama and heartache. Get rid of them!! If you don’t stand up and respect yourself, theres no reason for anyone else too.

Second, I figure out what I want to achieve that year. This year, 2012, I want to make as much money as possible in a career advancing position. I am a hard worker and extremely passionate about what I do-know in your heart and mind exactly what you are worth and never settle for anything less. Don’t ever fall for the BS that employers try to hand out when it comes to the “bad economy”. An interview I had awhile back tried pulling this card when they asked me how much I wanted to make- I walked away from that interview not only with the job but with exactly what I wanted to be making.

People really do respect those who are willing to speak their truth…..and even more, to live the truth they feel

This quote pretty much sums up how I strive to live my life.

How to keep your eye on the prize

Overworked and stressed out? I take a vacation, even if it is a quick 2 night stay at a beautiful spa to nourish and rejuvenate my body and soul. Bombarded with negativity? I grab my friends and go do something totally fun and uplifting. Sometimes in life we can’t escape these circumstances but it’s all about how we react to them and how we protect ourselves from becoming “one of them”. Let yourself become a new person this new year and remember you are the most important person in the world. You can’t offer the world your best without first taking care of yourself and reaching your own personal greatness.

New Year Day 2012 In St. Louis

Last minute plan to head down and check out St. Louis for the first time. 2012 is also my year to travel and nurture my desire to experience things I’ve never done before.

Life is all about expanding and growing as an individual. Seeing different places and witnessing how others live is a huge part of that.

Effective communication is a powerful took as you move ahead in your business. Since there are so many different personalities out there, there is no right or wrong way to communicate. Hello friends!!

I just had to hop on and share a beautiful story with my fine followers this evening. Tonight I had the pleasure of witnessing a dear friend of mine expand exponentially as a person and an entrepreneur and it reminded me how important and delicate people can be when entering the world of network marketing.

It can always be a scary adventure when you jump into something you have no idea about, at that moment, more than ever you must surround yourself with positive uplifting individuals.

I am often asked what I love about my primary business, but I like to open it up even further than that. I am an advocate to network marketing in general because it pampers peoples souls. My goal is to see all my friends and family succeed and be happy in life. Happiness can be found in many different companies, some love makeup, some love nutrition, some love gold and silver. No matter what your “product”, this industry is all about growing as an individual which then leads to your business flourishing into something truly beautiful.

Life is all about happiness. I find happiness in helping others succeed in their lives, no matter what line of work they fall under. I am in the business of pampering peoples souls and encouraging constant growth. Pushing the boundaries currently set in your life is one of the most beneficial things you can do in all of life. Please know that each and every one of you are amazing and a rockstar in your own life. If you can dream it, you can do it.

It’s always an interesting thing when people ask me what I do. It tends to be a common question when first meeting someone and people obviously expect a simple answer. An answer like, oh I’m a bartender, or a musician, or a mom. But, how does one answer this question when one is immersed in lot’s of different things?? Easiest answer to come up with is “I’m an entrepreneur”, right?

Yea yea, save the giggles. Being an entrepreneur REALLY is something great and something to admire. It should no longer be laughed at as a joke and instead embraced as the awesome thing it is. If you meet people who are entrepreneurs, hold on to them and befriend them. These people know what the future holds because they are in control of their lives. These people are creative, fun and energetic. When you meet a genuine entrepreneur, learn as much as you can from them because it will change your life.

Internet Vaca

Wondering what I do? Wondering where I have been for the past month or so ((I’m sorry for the internet neglect!!))

It is officially summer and this is my first summer in Milwaukee. Along with network marketing and being an advocate for it, I also am a promotional model and a licensed massage therapist. I have put massage on hold and have focused solely on marketing. June 1st, 2011 pretty much kicked off promo season here and I jumped all in! I believe it is so important to do the things that you love and that make you unbelievably excited and happy every single day. I found that in marketing when I began back in 2007 & it’s only gotten better!

I am a networker through and through theres no doubt about it. I am the happiest when I am meeting new people and educating them.

Become an advocate for what you love and go after it full force. No matter what your passion in life is you can turn it into a money making possibility. What I want to stress to you today in this post is that when you are happy and doing what you love, the money comes as a by-product. So, instead of chasing and doing things for “the money”, do things for the happiness it brings you and you WILL be rewarded handsomely for it!!

This summer has been a reminder to me that all I need to do is, do what I love and love what I do!

Eeeeeeeek!! That is my reaction every time I see a spider! They totally creep me out. They are fast, sneaky little suckers and I do not like them!! I am currently living 1400 miles away from my dad a.k.a the person I call when creepy crawly’s enter my home. Ahhh!

Yesterday I noticed I have a spider living in between my window’s in my bedroom. It’s not so bad when there is a layer of glass between us, it’s kind of a feeling of safety. So he is still hanging out in his web, right where I can keep a watchful eye on him.

My mom always tell me to NEVER kill any living creature, so with that in mind I felt  it was ok for Mr. Spider to stay in my window. Often I will tell my mom of an animal sighting and she will excitedly break out her “Animals Speak” book and let me know what it means. Today she emailed me letting me know the message a spider brings and I found it fascinating!

Spider represents travel, creativity, and the power of touch & says: Expand your horizons, metaphorically and literally. Travel to a neighboring town or to a wild flower meadow you have never visited before. See the world through new eyes and understand deep within that everything is possible. Make your dreams a reality. Just like the spider’s silk comes from deep inside her body, so the seeds of creation lie within your essence, but like Spider you must toil to bring them to light to turn imaginings into beauty.

Spider sees her world through touch, not light, translating vibrations in air, earth, and web into knowledge.–

The spider pictured above is “Lady”. She is a banana spider from Fort Myers, FL. She made her home on the back of my house right before I made the big move here to Milwaukee, WI. She was a huge spider and I made a huge move. This one is much smaller in size (thank goodness) and better represents my refocus on seeing things in a new way.

Over the past month I have done some soul searching and have made incredible discoveries within myself. I believe we all need to occasionally step back and evaluate our lives. Are you happy? Is your life going as you planned? Are you in a healthy relationship? Keep yourself on track! Noticing animals & insects must get my attention enough that the universe feels it’s the best way to give me messages, ha ha.

However you receive your messages in life, make sure you pay attention and honor them. Everything in our lives happen in order to guide us to our divine desire. Life is a really exciting adventure!!

I am officially less freaked out by spiders and I hope you are too!

As network marketers we are literally talking to people all day long. We connect by phone, text, email, Skype, Facebook, Twitter, instant messengers, and numerous other ways, but how do we know what we are trying to communicate is being absorbed and understood in the manner we would like?

Keeping in mind that every single individual that we are speaking with has been bombarded with “communication” all day, by the radio, friends, family, billboards, advertisements, Facebook, text, email- and as human being’s we have to pick and choose what we allow to actually be absorbed into out minds or else we would probably explode! So how many of your words matter? How many make a difference? How many actually get through to others?

Connecting Is Key

Good communication and leadership is all about connecting. So what do I mean by connecting? Connecting is the ability to relate with people in such a way that you influence them. This is important because the ability to connect on every level with people is a key factor in reaching your full potential in business and in life. In network marketing to be successful you must work with others and to do that the best way possible is to learn to connect.

Connecting isn’t just for leaders, it will literally help you every aspect of your life and every relationship. Imagine connecting with your husband/wife better, neighbors, children, everyone you ever meet could be entirely more beneficial to you! That’s pretty darn exciting if you ask me! You don’t have be the top income earner in your business or the president of the United States for connecting to add value to your life. Connecting is vital for any person who wants to achieve success. People desire to be connected and a part of something- if you provide that you now have influence.

People who connect experience better relationships, less conflict, and get more things done than those who don’t. When connecting you position yourself to make the best out of your talents and skills.

Communicating through Social Media

Connecting is the basis of social media today. People are eager to connect with others and will do almost anything to feel connected. Knowing the value of people is how you will begin understanding how to connect with others. If you are already connecting with people you can learn how to do it better and if you currently are afraid to step out of that comfort zone I encourage you to. You will be absolutely amazed at the results you will receive when whole-heartedly connecting with people.

So, you’ve found the absolute coolest company to join. You love the owners of the company, you dig the product, the comp plan couldn’t be sweeter, and you are super pumped- but now what?

Before you run and tell every single person you know about this unbelievable business you just joined and how excited you are and how they need to join right now because it’s perfect for them, blah blah blah. You must go through training!!

One of the biggest mistakes being made in our industry right now is not being properly trained on how to approach people. Now, lets say you are a new recruit and you go tell every person you know about this awesome business, yet they are baffled and have no idea why you are involved in such a thing. Never mind the fact that you thought they would ever be interested, because of course they aren’t crazy enough to join some pyramid scheme. After about 100 debbie the downers poo-pooing your business you may start rethinking your decision of joining. This very same business in which just a little bit ago you thought was the best thing since sliced bread. Many people that could have been extremely successful quit before they even get a proper foundation of training under their belt. To avoid this massive blow to your self-esteem, keep reading.

We can’t blame these people for calling you crazy though. You are approaching them with an offer that sounds too good to be true, I mean this industry is pretty amazing and when something is that amazing people are skeptical. In order to do your business justice and for your prospect to fully understand that something this amazing can be legit you must show them a full presentation. Think about it, how on earth could you sum up your business in 5 minutes that takes a half hour to forty-five minutes to explain? You just can’t! Time is valuable and you trying to explain it in a few minutes is not only wasting your time but theirs as well.

Why Training Is So Important

It is incredibly important to be trained on how to approach people about your new business. There is special training on how to deal with your warm market, cold market & internet market, each niche has it’s own special way of being done. Do yourself a huge favor and dedicate time to the proper training as soon as you jump on board a new company. You wouldn’t jump into any career without proper training, right??

Any great company has extensive training built into the business, which is one reason why I love network marketing so much. Not only are you going to be able to live the life of freedom, you grow exponentially as an individual. Personal development is one of the most important things in life and network marketing encourages it and embraces it to the fullest. My old corporate job couldn’t of cared less if I was happy or continually growing and learning about myself and my inner most desires.

As some of you may have noticed I have not posted any blogs lately- some may have even sensed something was wrong because I sort of went into “hermit” mode. So what was up!?! I had a case of the winter blues!

Now I’m not talking about being depressed because it is snowing and cold outside, I mean I had a mental winter blues. I was beating myself up for not being where I’d like to be in my business, considering other options and avenues, and just plain in a FUNK!

So how on earth did I pull myself out and back in the beautiful nurturing, blossoming, blooming Spring mindset?

First I recognized that I’m the one that put myself in that funk and was the only person who could get myself out of it! I mean come on, we all know this but let’s face it- sometimes we forget and obviously need a little reminding of how powerful we are. If you ever find yourself in a funk, take an inventory of how you are spending your time and I’m going to share with you things to stop doing and things to start.

Immediately Do The Following

• Stop Watching the news, reading the newspaper, or listening to it on the radio. I know I know, you think you NEED to hear whats going on in the world around you. If it’s important you will hear about it! The news inundates us with negative news. Hence why CNN is known as constantly negative news. Do yourself a favor and rid yourself of this. It’s easy and highly effective
• Read an uplifting book. Whatever you like to read the best, I enjoy personal growth books the best so I read Release Your Brilliance by Simon T Bailey. Just make sure it makes you feel wonderful when reading it.
• If reading isn’t your thing or you don’t make time to read I suggest listening to uplifting CD’s in the car while driving. Maybe even in your iPod when exercising. I love love love Getting Into Your Vortex Guided Mediations by Esther Hicks & Jerry Hicks. On the CD there are four 15 minute guided meditations that are life changing!
• Write in a Gratitude Journal. I started one of these when I moved to Milwaukee, I slacked off and stopped writing in it regularly which is one reason I got into my funk. Keep consistent in thanking the universe for all the good in your life, that way more can come in. It doesn’t matter how crappy your life may feel at the moment there are always things to be grateful for! Today I wrote how grateful I was for the sun- it’s shining into my windows making me feel alive and happy!
• Hang out with positive, uplifting people. My mom is always my go-to person when I am feeling down. Since we live 1400 miles apart now I have to settle for a phone call or a Skype chat, but she always knows what to say! Rid yourself of the dream stealers and downers you may have in your life, and if you can’t rid them ((incase you are married to them)) work extra hard on thinking in a positive, uplifting manner. Remember you are the one who controls your own mind- don’t let others negativity slip in and take over. Speaking from first hand experience, it is a lot easier just not to associate with the negative people though.
• Visualize what you want for yourself in the future. Your current thoughts always create your future, so make sure they are exactly what you want! Dwelling on past disappointments will only bring more disappointments, and that’s no fun.
• Set goals and use fun affirmations on a daily basis. Visualizing ourselves as we want to be is the first step towards change and growth.

Welcome To Spring!

Consistently implementing the things above will shift your mindset from winter blue to blossoming spring! Nourish yourself- mind, body and soul. You are amazing and so deserving of all the abundance, happiness and success the world has to offer. Allow the good to begin flowing towards you and the sun will forever shine in your life!
