2012: The Year of Travel & Changes

Happy New Year!!!

Ahhh, I am so sorry for my lack of updates…..for anyone close to me you know my life has been full of amazing and exciting events ((as always)) and I just completely dropped the ball on updating the rest of you, my e-buddies

I love new years because it reminds us all to take a look at our lives and re-assess. We get to sit down and evaluate our life goals, what it will take to get where we want to go and let’s us discover who we need to become in order to reach the success we want in or lives. I try and do this many time during the year, but let’s face it- sometimes we all get into a comfort rut.

What are my New Years Resolutions?

First, I always start with ridding toxic relationships from my life. No one needs manipulators or users in their lives because these people are fuel for unnecessary drama and heartache. Get rid of them!! If you don’t stand up and respect yourself, theres no reason for anyone else too.

Second, I figure out what I want to achieve that year. This year, 2012, I want to make as much money as possible in a career advancing position. I am a hard worker and extremely passionate about what I do-know in your heart and mind exactly what you are worth and never settle for anything less. Don’t ever fall for the BS that employers try to hand out when it comes to the “bad economy”. An interview I had awhile back tried pulling this card when they asked me how much I wanted to make- I walked away from that interview not only with the job but with exactly what I wanted to be making.

People really do respect those who are willing to speak their truth…..and even more, to live the truth they feel

How to keep your eye on the prize

Overworked and stressed out? I take a vacation, even if it is a quick 2 night stay at a beautiful spa to nourish and rejuvenate my body and soul. Bombarded with negativity? I grab my friends and go do something totally fun and uplifting. Sometimes in life we can’t escape these circumstances but it’s all about how we react to them and how we protect ourselves from becoming “one of them”. Let yourself become a new person this new year and remember you are the most important person in the world. You can’t offer the world your best without first taking care of yourself and reaching your own personal greatness.

 

New Year Day 2012 In St. Louis

Last minute plan to head down and check out St. Louis for the first time. 2012 is also my year to travel and nurture my desire to experience things I’ve never done before.

Life is all about expanding and growing as an individual. Seeing different places and witnessing how others live is a huge part of that.

I completely fell head over heals in love with Chicago.

The architecture, the people, the food, it was all pretty amazing……It is now a goal to get out there and conquer this huge city. I totally can, because I believe I can
