Scary Spider Sighting Turned Insightful

Eeeeeeeek!! That is my reaction every time I see a spider! They totally creep me out. They are fast, sneaky little suckers and I do not like them!! I am currently living 1400 miles away from my dad a.k.a the person I call when creepy crawly’s enter my home. Ahhh!

Yesterday I noticed I have a spider living in between my window’s in my bedroom. It’s not so bad when there is a layer of glass between us, it’s kind of a feeling of safety. So he is still hanging out in his web, right where I can keep a watchful eye on him.

My mom always tell me to NEVER kill any living creature, so with that in mind I felt  it was ok for Mr. Spider to stay in my window. Often I will tell my mom of an animal sighting and she will excitedly break out her “Animals Speak” book and let me know what it means. Today she emailed me letting me know the message a spider brings and I found it fascinating!

Spider represents travel, creativity, and the power of touch & says: Expand your horizons, metaphorically and literally. Travel to a neighboring town or to a wild flower meadow you have never visited before. See the world through new eyes and understand deep within that everything is possible. Make your dreams a reality. Just like the spider’s silk comes from deep inside her body, so the seeds of creation lie within your essence, but like Spider you must toil to bring them to light to turn imaginings into beauty.

Spider sees her world through touch, not light, translating vibrations in air, earth, and web into knowledge.–

The spider pictured above is “Lady”. She is a banana spider from Fort Myers, FL. She made her home on the back of my house right before I made the big move here to Milwaukee, WI. She was a huge spider and I made a huge move. This one is much smaller in size (thank goodness) and better represents my refocus on seeing things in a new way.

Over the past month I have done some soul searching and have made incredible discoveries within myself. I believe we all need to occasionally step back and evaluate our lives. Are you happy? Is your life going as you planned? Are you in a healthy relationship? Keep yourself on track! Noticing animals & insects must get my attention enough that the universe feels it’s the best way to give me messages, ha ha.

However you receive your messages in life, make sure you pay attention and honor them. Everything in our lives happen in order to guide us to our divine desire. Life is a really exciting adventure!!

I am officially less freaked out by spiders and I hope you are too!
